agney* / RIVERET / taffeta products are finished at our Koshigaya factory in Saitama Prefecture (Nakayoshi Shoji Co., Ltd.). The sawing and rough cutting processes are carried out at our own factory in Jiangxi Province, China, and then the Koshigaya factory handles everything from finishing molding, lasering, coating, polishing, to packaging and shipping. (Some commercial products are finished entirely at our Chinese factory.)

"taffeta" is sophisticated tableware that fits into everyday life. Three original brands that specialize in natural materials. We create unique designs and designs that are not only practical but also suited to different ages, occasions, and uses.

The materials used for each brand are based on the principles of the SDGs, and are carefully selected each time according to the situation, using "wood (tree species) with low environmental impact" as raw materials.

Among these, bamboo is a natural resource that can be repeatedly used with minimal land. We cultivate, manage, and harvest it in our own bamboo mountain (same size as Shinjuku Ward) in Jiangxi Province, China. Bamboo is light and strong, and has antibacterial, germicidal, and deodorizing properties, making it ideal for processing into tableware. It is also an effective way to utilize resources and curb deforestation, which is one of the causes of environmental problems.

Nakayoshi Shoji Co., Ltd. began research and development of bamboo and wood products in 1988. From the characteristics of the materials to lumbering, processing, and painting, everything was reviewed from scratch, and various techniques were realized through many years of trial and error. The accumulated efforts of our craftsmen and their never-ending spirit of inquiry will continue to produce new items.

LOHAS COAT is a proprietary coating technology that has been proven to suppress E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus through the synergistic effect of paint containing natural green tea ingredients and the phytoncides contained in bamboo and wood.

After use, the dishes can be washed in the same way as ceramic or glass dishes. They can be hand washed with neutral dishwashing detergent. Our proprietary six-layer coating (food hygiene law compliant paint) penetrates deep into the material, preventing color transfer and soaking of wine, coffee, soy sauce, ketchup, oily foods, etc. We are confident in the ability to remove stains.

Dishwashers not only save time but also water costs. Each brand's tableware has passed dishwasher and dryer resistance tests, which is rare for tableware made from natural materials. A little help with dishwashing during busy days.
*Recommended hot water setting: 70°C or less.

We want you to feel a long-lasting attachment to your item. We recommend our "custom-made name engraving" as a gift. Our proprietary laser engraving technology produces clear, even shading. Laser processing does not use ink, so it does not interfere with the natural, gentle atmosphere of the natural material. Also, since it is engraved, there is no need to worry about it chipping off.

The finishing touch to the manufacturing process is a careful polishing of each piece. It feels silky smooth in the mouth and to the touch. The warm texture that can only be achieved with natural materials and the refined finish with a subdued shine are its main features. Starting with the selection of materials, sawing, carving, coating, and polishing, each process is carefully considered, which is why the tableware is completed.

To ensure that everyone, from children to the elderly, can eat with peace of mind, we regularly submit the completed tableware to a third-party organization (Japan Food Research Laboratories). We request various quality inspection tests to confirm safety. Because tableware comes into direct contact with the mouth and food, we take the utmost care even with parts that cannot be seen.

We will continue to provide support responsibly even after the product has been shipped. We offer a 6-month warranty in case of an emergency. If a defect occurs during normal use in accordance with the prohibitions and precautions listed in the instruction manual, we will promptly replace the product within 6 months.
