What is FSC certification?

FSC certification is a system that delivers products from well-managed forests that are in line with environmental, social and economic benefits to consumers in a visible form, thereby returning economic benefits to producers.
Certification is voluntary and is issued following an audit by an accredited, independent, third-party certification body if standards are met.

FSC certification is awarded to organizations that demonstrate appropriate management systems within a clearly defined certification scope.
The scope of certification does not have to include all sites or products within an organization.
Only products that are registered within the scope of certification and handled under a certified management system can be labeled as certified products.
