Our overseas factories have acquired FSC certification.

Sustainability

Our 100% in-house lumber factory in Nanchang, China has obtained FSC certification.

What is FSC certification?

FSC certification is a system that delivers products from well-managed forests that are in line with environmental, social and economic benefits to consumers in a visible form, thereby returning economic benefits to producers. Certification is voluntary and is issued only when standards are met after an audit by an accredited independent third-party certification body.

FSC certification is awarded to organizations that demonstrate an appropriate management system within a clearly defined certification scope. The certification scope does not have to include all sites and products within the organization. Only products that a certified organization registers within the certification scope and handles under a certified management system can be labeled as certified products with the FSC label.

Initiatives toward SDGs

We will continue to use FSC-certified materials, thinned wood, and offcuts in the production of various products.

Nakayoshi Shoji Group will use the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as an important indicator in its manufacturing and corporate activities.
