Polishing and finishing process at Koshigaya Factory

越谷工場の研磨・仕上げ成形工程

At our Koshigaya factory in Saitama Prefecture, craftsmen carefully polish and sand each product to finish it.

The puzzle fitting parts of a jigsaw plate and the grooves for the gaskets in a car's lunch box need to be machined (polished) to within 0.1 mm.

For agney* products, the molding process is more of a "polishing" process than a "carving out" process.
The tools used are mainly small and intricate, and in the end, everything is finished by hand.

The tools and polishing methods used will change depending on the condition of the material. It is an extremely nerve-wracking job, but it is a crucial process that determines the level of quality; if this is not done properly, the texture of the entire product will change.
Our craftsmen hone their skills every day so that the moment you hold it in your hand, you will recognize the texture as an "agney* product."

In the polishing and finishing molding process, we have built a high-level dust collection system to make it easier for our craftsmen to work, introduced cleaning robots to keep the environment clean, and managed the air conditioning so that they can work comfortably in both winter and summer.

Main equipment used: wood lathe, baby sander, belt sander, small router, etc.
